Be a Grateful Virtual Assistant

Tomorrow, many of us will be celebrating Thanksgiving.  Not just a time to eat sinfully high-calorie food until our pants hurt…but also a time to be thankful for everything good and wonderful in our lives.  So tomorrow I am going to encourage you to spend a little time being Thankful for your VA business as well.  In fact, I’m going to suggest you actually make a list…a long list…of all the reasons you are grateful for your business.

When you ‘signed-up’ to become a Virtual Assistant – you probably had no idea what a wild ride you were in for (I know I didn’t!).  There are the days you feel like Wonder Woman after signing a new client, collecting on a big invoice or completing a huge project.  And there are the days you screw-up, the days you don’t want to get out of bed, the days you peruse the want ads wondering if this whole VA gig is perhaps not for you.  During the ‘dark periods’ of building your business, it can be tough to look  for the ‘silver lining’ and find things to be grateful for.  Keep your list handy so you can refer back to it whenever you need to feel inspired!

Practicing gratitude has been scientifically proven to keep you healthy, make you happier, more productive, less stressed and more successful.  Yep – more successful.  But you don’t have to believe me, you can read countless articles on the benefits of gratitude in Psychology Today (or just Google it).

So what are you grateful for in your Virtual Assistance Business?  A huge Twitter Following?  Being able to work from home?  That we live in a world with amazing technology?  Make that list and be grateful for it.

One of the things I am grateful for is all of the people who take time out of their busy, busy day to leave a comment on my blog…and I would love to hear what you are grateful for in your business!  Share your ideas and positive energy and we can all benefit together.   Happy Thanksgiving!
